We invite you to volunteer your time and talents in support of your disability community. We are seeking volunteers locally from the Greater Milwaukee area.
Volunteer Position Available:
NHU Volunteer Network: Marketing, Research and Public Relations Assistant
Start Date: Please contact us for possible start date.
Hours: Flexible during our office hours.
Qualifications and Experiences required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good computer skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic, creative personality with a willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
Location: Volunteers should be located in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Volunteers must work at our offices during office hours.
About New Horizons Un-Limited:
We are *New Horizons Un-Limited,* a non-profit organization for people with disabilities serving the Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. We provide access to information for people with disabilities through our website on the Internet. We believe communication as being the foremost way in which people with disabilities can share their experiences and help each other toward finding opportunities that will lessen their isolation and breakdown the barriers that inhibit them from full participation in their communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Marketing and Public Relations Assistant volunteer you will assist at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin offices in the coordination of various survey, research, and evaluation projects to measure the outcomes of our Access Information, Access Technology and Access Recreation programs. Also, you will assist with the creation of marketing material for our fundraising events and programs, using your marketing and communication skills while promoting to past and potential donors, sponsors and participants. You will utilize your writing and creative talents while writing and designing various promotional materials and press releases. You will utilize your organizational skills while tracking and acknowledging sponsorships, registrants and coordinating product and sign orders. This is an excellent resume building opportunity!
