July 31-Aug 4, 2016 - AVA Camp provides education, fun to youth using communications devices

Unlocking the voices within.

Authentic Voices of America offers a weeklong residential camp at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater to young people who use communication devices.  Created by an individual with Cerebral Palsy, this camp is like no other.  Aside from typical camp activities, staff will teach campers how to effectively use their communication devices in a variety of real-world settings.  The over-arching goal of this camp is to offer participants an opportunity to have fun, gain greater awareness of their abilities, and build their independence and self-confidence.

Designed for young people (aged 12-21) that have potential for post-secondary education or job training, this year's camp will be held  on the UW-Whitewater Campus, ranked among the best accessible campuses in the nation.
