World Recreation Association of the Deaf (WRAD) "is a non-profit recreational, educational, and cultural [membership] organization made up of deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people who live in all parts of the world." A yearly $15 membership includes a subscription to the WRAD News publication, a subscription to local chapter newsletters, frequent distribution of flyers of activities of the local chapters and WRAD, advocacy and representation, discounts to some activities, an opportunity to meet new friends, workshops and conventions, as well as an opportunity to participate in all local chapter activities. Activities provided by local chapters include sporting activities and events, beach parties, recreational tours and much more. Space Coast Center for Independent Living offers Out and About, a social and recreational outing program designed to provide low cost trips for individuals with disabilities, their families and friends. New York

On the Move and More offers a number of exciting, socially stimulating activities to individuals with disabilities that are interested in exploring Long Island, New York. Such activities include social outings, luncheons, playhouse visits, general community involvement, sports and recreational events and much more.
