New Sign CureSMA Cure SMA has 35 volunteer-led chapters across the United States. Chapters support the mission of Cure SMA in several ways. Chapters provide a base of community and support for families affected by SMA, whether sharing practical advice or simply having someone nearby who understands what you are facing. Chapters keep their members informed of opportunities for local advocacy and awareness. CureSMA also has a facebook page at www.facebook.com/cureSMA/

New Sign Living with M.D is a peer-support group for adults (18+) living with Neuromuscular Disorders (NMDs). vision of empowering people with Neuromuscular Disorders to live our best lives. We have a diverse membership representing 10+ countries, providing insights into living with a significant disability throughout the world. We discuss a wide range of topics including, but not limited to: balancing health care needs with a personal life, managing personal care assistants, acquiring and using medical equipment, navigating social security and other government benefits, dating, sexuality, higher education, and employment -- always with the goal of helping one another. To join this group, prospective members must have a diagnosis of Muscular Dystrophy/Neuromuscular Disorder and be 18+. Sorry, no parents, caregivers or spouses.
