"Resistance isn't enough. If we want change,  we have to get out the vote."
By: DaShanne Stokes

"Not voting is not a protest. It is a surrender."
By: Keith Ellison

"Voting is not only our right -- it is our power."
By: Loung Ung

These three quotes seem to sum up how I feel about voting. If the government  controls the outcome of something you believe in, voting and the census are two ways to make your voice heard loud and clear.

The census makes sure we all have a voice in our government and that voice can be heard equally. This means the more people in an area that are counted the more it is funded. It also is  used to determine voting districts and can determine the outcome of elections.

By voting you will be exercising your right to be heard and have a voice in government issues.

Go out and get registered to vote. Sign up for an absentee ballot if needed. By getting an absentee  ballot you will not have to wait in line or risk getting sick from the pandemic.

I can't emphasize enough how important your voice can be, but first you must fill out the census and vote.

For more information on voting, please see our voter checklist.
