More about New Horizons Un-Limited and our Access Technology Initiative
We are New Horizons Un-Limited, a non-profit organization for people with disabilities. We provide access to information for people with disabilities through our website on the Internet. We believe communication as being the foremost way in which people with disabilities can share their experiences and help each other toward finding opportunities that will lessen their isolation and breakdown the barriers that inhibit them from full participation in their communities.
With this vision in mind, we have created Access Technology Initiative, through which we refurbish used computers and grant them to individuals with disabilities and non-profit organizations that offer computer training for people with disabilities. To obtain used computers we offer computer recycling to individuals and corporations who are seeking to dispose of their outdated computers. There are occasions when people are unable to drop off their used computers at our office downtown Milwaukee. When this is the case, we arrange to pick up the computers at the donors home or business. If you are interested in recycling computers this is a good opportunity, to assist your community. We can assist you in becoming a computer recycler for your community and you can assist us in gathering computer donations.
Please consider assisting us in recycling computers and delivering them for refurbishing for our entire community! If you agree to do so, please fill out the NHU Volunteer Application or see the link below and submit it to us. We will send you instructions for this volunteer opportunity. It is easy and you will be helping others!
Thank you for assisting us in this endeavor! NHU stands on the generosity of our community volunteers. Volunteers are very much appreciated for their services whether it is one-time or long term and receive recognition for their accomplishment.
