"I believe there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright."

New! Accessible! Nature Explore Classroom!

We are excited to announce this week's groundbreaking for the Richard Bong State Recreation Area,
(Kenosha County, WI) and the Bong Naturalist Association (BNA),
who are raising funds to install a Nature Explore Classroom (NEC).
Hoping to disconnect kids from electronics and grant opportunities
that may not otherwise be available, the NEC will assist kids to develop
an appreciation of nature, science, art and music and a lifelong passion for nature activities.

There is growing evidence children's mental and emotional health is enhanced through nature.
Unstructured outdoor play helps children develop gross and fine motor skills, spatial, logical,
focused thinking and problem-solving skills, which help children of all ages, abilities and
sensitivities.

Do you know an individual or group that would benefit from the Nature Explore Classroom?
Please let them know about this new accessible nature opportunity!

The BNA is still looking for help and donations. Workdays will be held this spring.
A fundraising Open House will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 10am-Noon.
Do you know a scout group, class group or others who might like to get involved with the project?
