Active Living and Effective Communication for the Person with Dementia.
workshop, Fremont Nebraska.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in attending.
The event is funded through the Fremont Area Alzheimer's committee's
annual Memory Walk, 40 percent of which is set aside for educational
and year-round support groups in the Fremont area.
The event, April 9-10 in Kimmel Theater at Midland University,
will feature a nationally known speaker and a number of
educational opportunities for both the family caregiver, as well as
the professional caregiver.
The Fremont Area Alzheimer's committee working within the community
is a valuable resource for caregivers.
This committee offers support, gives money to research for
Alzheimer's to ultimately find a cure, but in the meantime, until
there is a cure, they are working to find ways to treat them the absolute
best they can. For more information for caregivers, visit their website.
